World Water Day 2023 trademark. is a small humming bird because of an ancient short story of the Quechua people of Peru.
One day a fire broke out in the forest.
All the animals ran for their lives.
At one point they were standing on the edge of the flames, terrified and sad.
Above them, a hummingbird flew back and forth to the fire, again and again.
The bigger animals asked him, “What are you doing?”
“I’m flying to the lake to get water to help put out the fire,” answered the hummingbird.
The animals laughed at him and said, “You can’t put out this fire!”
Hummingbird replied, “I’m doing what I can!”
The actions you take, no matter how small, will help solve the water crisis.
Play your part too. Do what you can!
